Covers For Cat Litter Boxes That Have Gone To The Next Level

Posted on: September 3, 2011

Cat litter covers can be a great way to hide the unsightly mess inside a cat litter box and can also give a cat some protection and privacy while in its least flattering moments. Today there are cat litter covers that can do more than just cover cat litter.

Cat litter boxes are both a fortunate and unfortunate side to having a house cat. Unfortunate because of the hassle and the unsightly and unpleasant contents inside, but it is also fortunate that cats use them instead of leaving their gifts around your house. Without litter boxes, house cats would probably not be such good pets to have.

Cat litter covers double as ways to hide the cat litter box from your sight and from visitors, and cats like to feel safe while doing their business and the cover gives them shelter and protection. Many covers have that litter box look and may be better than an open litter box but they still are not attractive and don't do much good for the decor of the room. Some cat litter covers are more decorative, which helps, but cat litter has now gone one step further.

Cat litter furniture not only provides a better looking cat litter cover, it also doubles as a useful piece of furniture. Cat litter cabinets will hide your cat box, give the cat privacy and can even help contain odor. At the same time these pieces of furniture can be used like any cabinet and come in many styles and sizes that could be used for end tables, TV stands, or anything else you would use this type of furniture for.

Cat litter furniture can be found that will fit in with just about any decor and are often built like any quality piece of furniture. From the outside they look like any other piece of furniture except for a small hole for the cat to enter, which is usually on the side or back. They are usually built to be opened for easy access to maintain the litter box.

When fitted with a cat door, odors can be kept inside where they can then be absorbed by odor absorbing materials. The small opening will also make sure the cat can only exit in one spot and will be forced to walk on a litter mat instead of tracking litter on your floor.

Ordinary cat litter covers may work but a fine stylish piece of furniture will look better in your home. And it can save space since you will not have to dedicate a space for only a litter box.
